ITR Form 7 AY 2021-22
The Central Board of Direct Taxes has notified Income Tax Return Forms (ITR Forms) for the Assessment Year 2021-22 vide Notification no.21/2021 in G.S.R. 242(E) dated 31.03.2021. Keeping in view the ongoing crisis due to COVID-19 pandemic and to facilitate the taxpayers, no significant change have been made to the ITR Forms in comparison to the last year’s ITR Forms. Only the bare minimum changes necessitated due to amendments in the Income-tax Act, 1961 have been made.
There is no change in the manner of filing of ITR Forms as compared to last year.
Any taxpayer can use ITR-7 Form for filing Income Tax Return if they file as a Trust, Company, Firm, Local authority, Association of Person (AOP) or Artificial Judicial Person and claims exemption under Section 139 (4A), Section 139 (4B), Section 139 (4C)or Section 139 (4D).
How to File ITR 7
- This return form has to be mandatory filed online with the Income Tax Department in the following ways:
- by furnishing the return electronically under digital signature
- by transmitting the data in the return electronically and thereafter submitting the verification of the return in Return Form ITR-V
After the filing of the return , the assessee should print out two copies of ITR-V Form. One copy of ITR-V, duly signed by the assessee, has to be sent by ordinary post to Post Bag No. 1, Electronic City Office, Bengaluru–560100 (Karnataka).
