Howrah Map
Howrah is a relatively small district in West Bengal with an area of 1467 sq km. The district consists of one Municipal Corporation, two Municipalities, and 14 Blocks. Howrah Municipal Corporation is the second-largest Urban Local Body (ULB) in the State next to Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC). It is the most urbanized and densely populated district and well-connected with Kolkata at its two ends with Rabindra Setu and Vidyasagar Setu. Many small-scale industries have sprung up in this area, providing livelihood to a large section of the population residing in the district.
