GST Rates List Item Wise - Summary
GST is the most important tax-related reformation in the country beginning unity in the taxation structure and reducing the various types of taxes that were applicable in the previous regime. The GST Council meeting is conducted regularly in order to further improve the overall GST rates for multiple goods.
GST rates refer to the percentage rates of tax imposed on the sale of goods or services under the CGST, SGST and IGST Acts. A business registered under the GST law must issue invoices with GST amounts charged on the value of supply. The Council has broadly approved the GST rates for goods at nil rate, 5%, 12%, 18% and 28% to be levied on certain goods.
