GHMC Election Results 2016 - Summary
The ruling party Telangana Rashtriya Samiti is leading in the majority of divisions in the GHMC polls. The initial trends on Friday evening revealed that TRS is leading in 101 wards with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen ahead in 36 wards in the GHMC poll counting. The Telegu Desam Party, Bhartiya Janata Party, and Congress have been decimated in the civic body polls.
The TDP-BJP is leading on 9 wards, while Congress was leading on 3 seats. Independent was leading on one seat. The trends are completely one-sided with TRS has confirmed its victory in 48 wards which included Madhapur, Miyapur, Jiyaguda, Mangalhat, Golnaka, Khairatabad, and Saidabad divisions. The TRS is also leading in 53 seats.
