Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria for Abhaya Hastham Scheme

- Active SHG membership is required for at least one year (joined by 1/12/2008).
- Attend at least 80% of SHG meetings.
- Contribute at least 80% of the thrift amount during the past year.
- The applicant must hold a valid white ration card.
- The SHG must recommend the member and confirm her age through an official resolution.
Main Benefits of the Abhaya Hastham Scheme Telangana
- After reaching 60 years, each member gets a pension starting from Rs. 500 per month, based on her contribution (refer to annexure-?).
- Life insurance coverage is available for women aged 18 to 59 years, including:
- Rs. 30,000 for natural death.
- Rs. 75,000 for accidental death.
- Rs. 75,000 for permanent disability.
- Rs. 37,500 for partial disability.
- A scholarship of Rs. 1,200 per year for children studying in 9th, 10th, intermediate, and ITI courses.
- Note: Members receiving scholarships from LIC cannot avail this scholarship benefit.
- In case a subscriber passes away before reaching 60, her contributions, government share, interest earned, and insurance amount will be paid to her nominee.
- If a member dies after starting to receive the pension (after 60 years), all accumulated funds will be transferred to her nominee.

- White ration card to prove Below Poverty Line (BPL) status (mandatory) – Photocopy.
- Age proof documents (photocopy), such as:
- School leaving certificate.
- Ration card.
- Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC).
- Proof of active SHG membership for at least one year:
- SHG formation certificate.
- Meeting attendance with minimum 80% presence.
- Thrift payment records with at least 80% contribution.
- Loan documents from SHG, if any.
- SHG resolution confirming member’s age and scheme enrolment with attached documents.
- All documents will be checked thoroughly by a third-party verification team.
- Member details will be digitally prepared by the Mandal Samakhya (MS) for VO-wise and SHG-wise accuracy. Members will have the opportunity to correct any mistakes before final submission.
