UGC NET Previous Year Question Papers with Solutions - Summary
UGC NET Previous Year Question Papers with Solution are official test papers and answer keys released by National Testing Agency (NTA) for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. Candidates preparing for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor eligibility, and Ph.D. admissions across 83 subjects use these papers to understand the exam pattern and question trends.
UGC NET examination is conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) consisting of two objective papers with no break in between. Paper 1 has 50 questions testing general teaching and research aptitude for 100 marks, while Paper 2 has 100 subject-specific questions for 200 marks. How to practice with previous year papers
STEP 1 – Set a timer for 60 minutes for Paper 1 or 180 minutes for the complete exam without looking at solutions.
STEP 2 – Attempt all questions in one sitting without taking breaks between Paper 1 and Paper 2.
STEP 3 – Match your marked responses against the official final answer key and count 2 marks for every correct answer.
STEP 4 – Note incorrect answers and unattempted questions to identify weak topics across Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, or your subject paper.
STEP 5 – Revise the difficult units from standard textbooks and re-solve similar questions from other past papers.
