WBSSC Group D Waiting List - Summary
West Bengal Central School Service Commission has recently updated the WBSSC Group D Waiting List. The Hon’ble High Court of Calcutta reviewed a report submitted on 27th September 2022, highlighting that during the verification of records for the 1st SLST 2016 for Assistant Teachers (IX-X), 183 candidates were found to have been incorrectly recommended for appointment.
In line with this, the Hon’ble High Court directed that, from these 183 candidates, at least 102 declared vacancies (across various subjects and categories) remain unfilled, as those candidates did not join. Therefore, the Central School Service Commission will now recommend waitlisted candidates based on their merit and category for these vacancies.
WBSSC Group D Waiting List Update
The West Bengal Central School Service Commission has been instructed to arrange counseling for the waitlisted candidates according to their merit and category. This counseling is necessary due to the 1911 erroneous recommendations related to the 3rd Regional Level Selection Test (NT) 2016 for the recruitment of Group D staff, which was cancelled as per the Commission’s memo no. 208/L4044/CSSC/ESTT/2023 dated 10.02.2023. The counseling for the posts will be held at the designated office shortly.
It is important for candidates to note that those called for the counseling process who are found to be involved in any irregularities, including OMR manipulation, will be barred from participation. Their candidature will be cancelled immediately without further notice.
Candidates must also be aware that if they do not appear on the date of counseling, they will not receive another opportunity and will be marked absent. However, in exceptional circumstances, a duly authorized representative may attend the counseling on behalf of the candidate, if approved by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission.
