महिला सशक्तीकरण एवं बाल विकास विभाग तथा समाज कल्याण विभाग में संचालित विभिन्न योजनाओं को एकीकृत कर अप्रैल 2017 में नंदा गौरा कन्याधन योजना शुरू किया गया, जिसमें उत्तराखंड में निवास करने वाले पात्र परिवार की दो बालिकाओं को 62 हजार रुपये की आर्थिक सहायता दी जाती है। पहले यह धनराशि 51 हजार रुपये थी।
