TASMAC Closed List Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu Government announced the closure of 500 retail liquor shops run by the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation Limited (TASMAC) from June 22 (Thursday). The announcement, made as per the direction of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, follows an assurance made by the then Minister for Prohibition and Excise V. Senthilbalaji on the floor of the Tamil Nadu Assembly in April that 500 of the 5,329 retail vending shops would be closed. The announcement was made as per the direction of Chief Minister M.K. A press release from Tasmac said all district managers had been asked to identify the shops that were to be closed.Low-sale shops; those located near places of worship and educational institutions; those facing objections from members of the public; those that are involved in court litigation have been chosen for closure. Tasmac chairman S. Visakan had directed officials to ensure that the closure does not lead to the sale of illicit arrack.

தமிழ்நாட்டில் 500 மதுக்கடைகள் நாளை முதல் மூடப்படவிருப்பது வரவேற்கத்தக்கது; மீதமுள்ள மதுக்கடைகளையும் மூட கால அட்டவணை வெளியிட வேண்டும்!
தமிழ்நாட்டில் மொத்தமுள்ள 5329 மதுக்கடைகளில் 500 கடைகள் நாளை முதல் மூடப்படும் என்று டாஸ்மாக் நிறுவனம் அறிவித்திருக்கிறது. இது தாமதமானது என்றாலும் வரவேற்கத்தக்க நடவடிக்கை ஆகும். தமிழ்நாட்டில் படிப்படியாக முழு மதுவிலக்கு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படும் என்று முதலமைச்சர் மு.க.ஸ்டாலின் அறிவித்திருந்தார். அதை நோக்கிய பயணத்தின் தொடக்கமாக இது அமைய வேண்டும்.
தமிழ்நாட்டில் 500 மதுக்கடைகள் மூடப்படும் என்று தமிழக அரசு அறிவித்து இரு மாதங்களுக்கு மேலாகியும் அந்த அறிவிப்பு செயல்படுத்தப்படாமல் இருந்து வந்தது. சட்டப்பேரவையில் அறிவித்தவாறு மதுக்கடைகளை உடனடியாக மூட வேண்டும் என்று தொடர்ச்சியாக வலியுறுத்தி வந்தேன். அதன் பயனாக நாளை முதல் 500 மதுக்கடைகள் மூடப்படவிருப்பது மகிழ்ச்சியளிக்கிறது. மூடப்படும் மதுக்கடைகள் தவிர மீதமுள்ள 4829 மதுக்கடைகளும் படிப்படியாக மூடப்பட்டு தமிழ்நாட்டில் முழுமையான மதுவிலக்கு நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும். காலாண்டுக்கு 500 மதுக்கடைகள் மூடப்பட்டால், அடுத்த இரண்டரை ஆண்டுகளில் முழுமையான மதுவிலக்கு சாத்தியமாகி விடும். அதற்கேற்றவாறு உடனடியாக கால அட்டவணையை தயாரித்து வெளியிடுவதுடன், அதனடிப்படையில் மதுக்கடைகளை மூடுவதற்கு தமிழக அரசு நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும்!
