SIR Form Kerala - Summary
SIR process in Kerala starts with the house-to-house visit by the Booth Level Officer. During this visit, the BLO gives the SIR Form to every family. This form already has your name, EPIC number, address, Assembly and Parliamentary details, and your photo printed on it. If needed, the form can also be downloaded from the Election Commission website.
Voters must fill basic details like date of birth, mobile number, Aadhaar number (optional), and details of parents or spouse. You also have to attach a recent passport size photo. One more important part of the form is linking your details with the previous SIR done between 2002 and 2005.
If You Have Moved from Another State
If you shifted to Kerala after 2005, you need to check your or your family’s name in the old SIR list of the previous state. For example, if your family lived in Rajasthan during the last SIR and moved to Kerala later, you must search your family’s name in Rajasthan’s SIR list.
How to Contact BLO in Kerala
BLO tries to meet the voter at least three times. Any adult in the house can collect or submit the form. You can find your BLO details in the ECINET app or on the voter portal using your EPIC number. You can also book a call with your BLO.
Can SIR Form Kerala Be Filled Online
- Visit voters.eci.gov.in and select ‘Fill Enumeration Form’.
- After entering your mobile number or EPIC, your voter data appears.
- To submit online, your mobile number must be linked to your EPIC.
- If it is not linked, you need to update it through Form 8.
- After linking, you can log in and submit the form with Aadhaar-based e-sign, but your name should match on Aadhaar and EPIC. If it does not match, offline submission is needed.
Are Documents Needed at Enumeration Stage
No, voters do not have to submit documents during enumeration. Only the form must be submitted.
What Happens After Enumeration
Draft voter list will be published on 9 December 2025. Voters must check if their name is included. This list usually contains only the names of voters who submitted the SIR Form. If your details cannot be linked with old SIR, you will get a notice asking for documents.
Documents Needed After Notice
Documents depend on your year of birth:
- If born before 01.07.1987: Submit any document showing your date or place of birth.
- If born between 01.07.1987 and 02.12.2004: Submit your own birth proof and one document of your father or mother showing their birth details.
- If born after 02.12.2004: Submit your birth proof and birth details of both father and mother.
- If any parent is not Indian: Submit their valid passport and visa at the time of your birth.
- If born outside India: Submit birth registration proof from the Indian Mission abroad.
- If you became an Indian citizen through Registration or Naturalisation: Submit your citizenship certificate.
If Someone Has Not Submitted SIR Form
If the form is not returned, BLO will try to find the reason by talking to neighbours. Only those who submitted the SIR Form will be included in the draft roll. Names not included will appear on lists displayed at Panchayat Bhavan, urban local body office and block development office.
