In the Situation of Treatment Expense Reimbursement
- An insurance company does not always accept claims for settlement from a life insured who is admitted to or treated at a non-registered hospital. If this is the case, the person can take the following steps:
- In the event of an emergency hospitalisation, the life insured’s next of kin should contact the insurance company or TPA via phone or email. The toll-free number is 1800 22 9090.
- The hospital expenses should be paid in full as soon as possible, and all original bills and records should be kept and submitted with the claim.
- The claim form should be completely filled out with accurate information and submitted to RCare for reimbursement processing.

The individual insured must present original copies of the following documents in order to collect the money spent on medical bills and treatment:
- Hospital details
- Hospital bills
- Discharge report
- Other reports
- Claim form
SBI Health Insurance reserves the right to deny payment claims for cashless hospital and treatment in specified circumstances. In this instance, the person in question can still seek reimbursement by completing the steps outlined above.
