List of Space Centers in India - Summary
The Space Research Centers in India are spread all over the country and it is operated by the Department of Space under which all the India Research programs are developed and administered. Indian Space Research Organisation is considered the backbone of the Indian Space Programs.
The main purpose of the Department of Space is to promote and facilitate the development and execution of space program technology that will in turn be effectively used for the socio-economic development of the country.
