Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a budget for the financial year 2024-25, totaling ₹2,86,389 crore, as revealed by Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy in the assembly. This budget includes a revenue expenditure of ₹2,30,110 crore and a capital expenditure of ₹30,530 crore. The estimated revenue deficit is about ₹24,758 crore, with a fiscal deficit projected at ₹55,817 crore, equivalent to 3.51% of the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and a revenue deficit of 1.56%. Although the budget proposals have been presented for the entire financial year, formal approval will be sought from April to July. A full budget will be introduced by the newly formed government post-elections.
