Forest Conservation Act, 1980
The Forest Act, 1980 is an Act which was passed by the Parliament of India to provide protection & conservation of forests and for matters connected therewith or ancillary or incidental thereto. It was further amended in 1988. This law extends to the whole of India and must be followed by across the country.
Aim of Forest Conservation Act 1980
The main motive of forest conservation act was to ensure the protection and conservation of tress, plants and things connected to forests so that they could support the wildlife as well as save the natural habitat of animals. Also to keep an eye on the deforestation and degradation of forest resources done by humans.
