Exclusions from PM-KISAN Benefits

The following groups of beneficiaries with higher economic status are not eligible to receive benefits under the PM-KISAN scheme:

All Institutional Landholders;
Farmer families in which one or more members belong to the following categories:
- Former and present holders of constitutional posts
- Former and present Ministers / State Ministers, former/present Members of Lok Sabha / Rajya Sabha / State Legislative Assemblies / State Legislative Councils, as well as former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations and former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central / State Government Ministries / Offices / Departments, Central or State PSEs, and Attached offices / Autonomous Institutions under Government, along with regular employees of Local Bodies (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV / Group D employees)
- All superannuated/retired pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs.10,000/- or more (excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV / Group D employees).
- All persons who paid Income Tax in the last assessment year.
- Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with professional bodies and practicing their profession.
- New beneficiaries uploaded on the PM-KISAN Portal, specifically all landholding farmers’ families who are Non-resident Indians (NRIs) as defined by the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
