Swachh Survekshan 2024 Ranking List - Summary
The results of the Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 are out! The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, gave the awards at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. This event was organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA). A total of 23 cities that are super clean were praised in the presence of Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal and MoS Shri Tokhan Sahu.
Three cities—Ahmedabad, Bhopal, and Lucknow—were named the cleanest big cities in India. In total, 43 national awards were given, and a special award was given for the Mahakumbh festival.At the event, Union Minister Shri Manohar Lal gave the award for the cleanest Ganga town to Prayagraj. Secunderabad Cantonment was named the cleanest cantonment board. Visakhapatnam, Jabalpur, and Gorakhpur won awards for taking great care of their sanitation workers.
A special award also went to the Uttar Pradesh government, Prayagraj Mela Officer, and Prayagraj Municipal Corporation for doing a great job managing waste during the Mahakumbh festival, which had around 66 crore visitors.
