With just a few weeks left for the long-awaited final year/final-term degree examinations at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), students are feeling anxious. For the first time, they will face final exams in an online multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, which has raised many concerns among them.
Understanding the Online MCQ Format
As students prepare for this new MCQ exam style, they are filled with questions. The university has not yet released a model question paper or a question bank. Moreover, mock exams are scheduled only a few days before the actual exams, leaving students uncertain about how to prepare effectively.
Students’ Concerns
“With a completely changed pattern of exams and the sudden announcement of exam dates, studying has become quite challenging. The syllabus is vast, and taking exams in an MCQ format means that any topic could be tested. Unfortunately, without a question bank, we must study everything quickly, which is not easy. We are constantly seeking guidance from our teachers and looking at old question papers, hoping to find some helpful insights,” shared Ayesha Deshmukh, a final-year Bachelor of Business Administration student.
