How to Apply for Name Addition on Maharashtra Ration Card

- Complete the application and submit it along with the required documents to the designated authority.
- The authorities will review your submitted application and attached documents, and they will provide you with a record number for reference.
- The applicant will receive notifications via SMS at various stages, such as advance notice regarding the date of the official’s visit for verification and updates about the approval or rejection of the application.
- After the ground-level verification, the ration card will be issued within 2 to 3 weeks or as informed by the department.

- Original ration card
- Names of additional members or the person to be added/removed
- Proof of residence
- Aadhaar Card
- Local Certificate / Election Card / PAN / Driving License / Passport
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate/X Pass Certificate or any other declaration)
- Surrender Certificate in original (if applicable, for inclusion)
- Death Certificate if a member has passed away to delete their name
- Documents required for adding a member due to marriage:
- Marriage Certificate
- Original Ration Card with husband’s name
- Name Deletion Certificate from the bride’s parents
- Documents required for adding a newborn child to the Ration Card (if above 5 years):
- Birth Certificate issued by the local municipal body or appropriate authority
- Original ration card of the family with parent’s names
- ID proof of parents such as PAN Card or Aadhaar Card
