Association of 1998 DSC Qualified Candidates leaders G. Mohan Rao, M. Pitchaiah and Sk. Khasim Peeran underlined that though they had passed the DSC test, the selection process was suspended following anomalies in the interview process.
In 1998, the Joint Government of Andhra Pradesh issued the DSC-1998 Notification. Regarding the cut off marks of the candidates at that time 50 for OCs, 45 for BCs; 40 marks for SC, ST and Divyangs as cut-off. పాఠశాలలు తెరిచేలోపు అభ్యర్థులకు పోస్టింగు ఇవ్వాలని పిడిఎఫ్‌ ఎమ్మెల్సీలు కోరారు. నియామక ఫైల్‌పై సిఎం సంతకం చేయడం పట్ల ఎమ్మెల్సీలు వి బాలసుబ్రమణ్యం, కెఎస్‌ లక్ష్మణరావు, యండపల్లి శ్రీనివాసులురెడ్డి, ఐ వెంకటేశ్వరరావు, షేక్‌ సాబ్జీ ఒక ప్రకటనలో హర్షం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రాథమిక విద్యలో ఉపాధ్యాయుల కొరత తీవ్రంగా ఉందని, 20 వేలకుపైగా ఎస్‌జిటి పోస్టులు ఖాళీగా ఉన్నాయని వివరించారు. ఇప్పటికే 9 వేల ప్రాథమిక పాఠశాలలు ఏకోపాధ్యాయ పాఠశాలలుగా నడుస్తున్నాయని ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలల్లో పిల్లల సంఖ్య 6 లక్షలకుపైగా పెరిగిందని పేర్కొన్నారు. 2008 డిఎస్‌సి అభ్యర్థులకుఇచ్చిన పద్ధతినే ఈ నియామకాలలో కూడా పాటించాలని కోరారు.
