UPSC Subjects List - Summary
UPSC provides 25 subjects and 23 literature languages subjects to choose from. The candidates can choose any of them for their optional. UPSC provides full opportunity to all the candidates to select their subject from the list of optional subjects notified in the IAS notification every year. The IAS subjects as per the ICS syllabus includes mostly all the subjects that we covered in school in the name of general studies
UPSC Civil Service is one of the most prestigious examinations conducted in the country. Apart from being highly competitive, it is the syllabus and comprehensiveness of IAS subjects that make the exam even tougher. The UPSC subjects in the civil services exam are designed to judge you on your understanding of things around you as only an informed person can make decisions as a civil servant.
