The new Tata Tigor EV has been launched finally. Arguably, the biggest highlight of the new model is the improved ARAI range of 306 Kilometers.

The Tigor EV is positioned below the Nexon EV in the company’s electric vehicle portfolio for India. The Tata Tigor EV, on the other hand, can be purchased by private owners and uses the same Ziptron powertrain that also propels the Nexon EV. Power, however, has been de-tuned to 75 hp while the battery pack is of 26kWh capacity. The new Tigor EV also has fast charging capabilities for better convenience of the customers.

The interiors of the new Tata Tigor EV have also been revealed and these certainly look nice and clean. Blue accents have been given all around that give a pleasant feeling and keep you reminded that this is an electric vehicle. Key features inside include automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen with Harman sound system that comes with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters.

The new Tata Tigor EV can do a sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The electric car comes with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery pack and the EV gets over 30 connected car features as well including remote commands and remote diagnostics for better convenience of the customers.

New Tata Tigor – Charging Details

The new Tata Tigor EV can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in around 1 hour through a fast charger. On the other hand, a regular charger will take approximately 8.5 hours to charge the battery of the vehicle from 0 to 80 percent. The car can be charged from a 15A socket as well that is easily available in our homes and offices.

Tata Motors says that it is offering an 8-year warranty for the battery and motor when it comes to the Ziptron powertrain.
