Star Health, India’s first stand-alone health insurance provider, allows you to file claims in two ways: cashless hospitalization and reimbursement process.
Claim Process For Cashless Treatment
A cashless claim is only available at Star Health’s network hospitals. Star Health has a network of more than 9,300 hospitals. The steps for submitting a cashless claim are as follows:
- To begin, locate a Star Health network hospital in the city where you wish to receive cashless care.
- In the case of emergency hospitalization, contact Intimate Star Health within 24 hours, and 48 hours before admission in the case of a planned hospitalization.
- Carry your Star Health ID card and one photo ID evidence with you when you visit a network hospital.
- Fill out the pre-authorization request form at the hospital and return it to them.
- As a result, you will be allowed to proceed with your cashless hospital care.
- If the insured’s cashless claim is denied, he or she might submit a reimbursement claim after being discharged.
Check Claim Status Online
If a policyholder has recently submitted a claim request, they can check the status of their claim by going to the Star Health Insurance official website and clicking on the ‘Claim Status’ option. Then, on the next page, fill in the required information, such as the Intimation number and ID card number. Select ‘Get Claim Status’ from the drop-down menu.
