Shiv Mahimna Stotra in Sanskrit – Translation in Hindi

महिनः पारं ते परमविदुषो यद्यसदृशी
स्तुतिर्ब्रह्मादीनामपि तदवसन्नास्त्वयि गिरः ।
अथाऽवाच्यः सर्वः स्वमतिपरिणामावधि गृणन्
ममाप्येष स्तोत्रे हर निरपवादः परिकरः ।।
भावार्थः है हरा आप प्राणी मात्र के कष्टों को हराने वाले हैं। में इस स्तोत्र द्वारा आपकी वंदना करा रहा हूँ। जो कदाचित आपके वंदना के योग्य नभी हो। पर हे महादेवा स्वयं ब्रह्मा और अन्य देवगण भी आपके चरित्र की पूर्ण गुणगान करने में सक्षम नहीं है। जिस प्रकार एक पक्षी अपनी क्षमता के अनुसार ही आसमान में उड़ान भर सकता है। उसी प्रकार में यथा शक्ति आपकी आराधना करता हूँ।

अतीतः पंथानं तव च महिमा वाङ्गनसयो
अतद्व्यावृत्त्या यं चकितमभिधत्ते श्रुतिरपि .
स कस्य स्तोतव्यः कतिविधगुणः कस्य विषयः
पदे त्वर्वाचीने पतति न मनः कस्य न वचः ।।2।।
भावार्थः हे शिवा आपकी व्याख्या न तो मन ना ही वचन द्वारा ही संभव है। आपके सन्दर्भ में वेद भी अचंभित है। तथा नेति नेति का प्रयोग करते हैं। अर्थात ये भी नहीं और वो भी नहीं। आपका संपूर्ण गुणगान भला कौन करा सकता है? ये जानते हुए भी की आप आदि अंत रहित परमात्मा का गुणगान कठिन है। में आपका वंदना करता हूँ।
