FASTag is a RFID passive tag for vehicles which has now been made mandatory for every vehicle to possess by the Government for India. FASTag is used for making highway toll payments online without paying cash at the toll plazas across the country. The toll charge amount can directly be debited from the FASTag linked prepaid or savings/current account of the customers / vehicle owners. FASTag is affixed on the windscreen of the vehicle and enables the customer to drive through toll plazas, without stopping for any toll payments.
