Rabindranath Tagore was born on the 07th of May, 1861 in Kolkata. Rabindranath Tagore was the son of Debendranath Tagore, one of Brahmo Samaj’s active members, a known and celebrated philosopher, and literate. R.N Tagore died after a prolonged illness on the 07th of August, 1941.

Rabindranath Tagore was an outstanding poet, philosopher, playwright, dramatist, composer, social reformer and a talented painter. He completed his higher education in England. He began writing poems and short stories from a tender age and wrote dramatic pieces such as Valmiki Pratibha.

Rabindranath Tagore, born on May 7, 1861, in Calcutta (now Kolkata), was a prolific Bengali writer, poet, composer, and educator. He became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 for his collection of poems titled “Gitanjali.” Tagore’s works often explored themes of humanism, spirituality, and the beauty of nature.

He founded the Vishva Bharati University in Shantiniketan, which aimed to blend the best of Indian and Western educational philosophies. Tagore was also deeply involved in social and political issues, advocating for Indian independence and speaking out against colonialism. His legacy continues to inspire artists, thinkers, and activists worldwide. Tagore passed away on August 7, 1941, but his writings and ideals remain influential to this day.
