Nissan has announced that their recently launched compact-SUV offering, the Magnite has received an immensely positive response in the Indian market. The new Nissan Magnite which launched on the 2nd of December has already managed to garner 5,000 bookings and 50,000 inquiries in the Indian market.
The company has stated that 60 percent of the demand for the Nissan Magnite is for the top two variants: XV and XV (Premium). Nissan also stated that 30 percent of the Magnite bookings were towards the CVT-equipped trims.

Nissan even offered the top-spec variant of the Magnite under Rs 10 lakh price bracket, allowing it to undercut all its competition and make it an extremely attractive offering in the segment. Under the bonnet, the new Nissan Magnite comes with a choice of two engine options. The first is a 1.0-liter naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 71bhp and 96Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The other option is a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine churning out 99bhp and 160Nm of peak torque, mated to either a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
In terms of safety equipment, the Nissan Magnite comes packed with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, brake assist, traction control, impact-sensing auto door unlock speed-sensing auto door lock, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and plenty of others.
