Understanding Form 34

RTO Form 34 is essential for making the necessary entries in the RC. If you are dealing with a different original Registering Authority, you will need multiple copies of this document. After entering the information in the RC, the RTO office sends a copy of this application to both the Financier and the Registering Authority through registered post.

Details to be Mentioned in Form 34

RTO Form 34 consists of two parts. The first part requests information about the Registered Owner and the Financier, while the second part is an official endorsement confirming the entry of the hire-purchase, lease, or hypothecation agreement between both parties. Below is a step-by-step guide for filling out Form 34:

• Begin filling out RTO Form 34 by entering the name of the RTO responsible for the jurisdiction where you want to make the agreement entry at the top left-hand corner of the application.
• Next, write the registration number of your vehicle, followed by the name of the Registered Owner in the appropriate blank space.
• Now, input the full name and address of the Financier as mentioned in the agreement.
• Finally, both the Registered Owner and the Financier need to sign and date section 1 of this application. If the owner is unable to sign, they can also use their thumb impression.
• In the endorsement section, the representative of the Registering Authority will fill in the reference number and address of the RTO. They will also note the date when the entry related to the hire-purchase, lease, or hypothecation agreement was recorded on the Registration Certificate.
• The RTO official will then sign and date the Form, including the name of the Financier and the Registering Authority (if different from the one mentioned at the top of Form 34).
• Lastly, the Financier should provide their specimen signature in the concluding section of the application.
