Eligibility Criteria & Exam Pattern

Candidates applying for the AP Endowments Executive Officer Grade-III post must satisfy the following eligibility conditions prescribed by the Commission:

1. Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provincial Act, or State Act, or an institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or an equivalent qualification.

2. Age Limit & Relaxations

The candidate’s age must be between 18 and 42 years as of 1st July 2026. Upper age relaxations are applicable as per Andhra Pradesh State Government rules:

  • SC, ST, BC & EWS: 5 Years relaxation
  • Physically Handicapped (PwD): 10 Years relaxation
  • Ex-Servicemen & NCC Instructors: 3 Years plus length of service rendered
  • A.P. State Government Employees: Up to 5 Years based on service length

3. Selection Process & Syllabus Scheme

The selection process comprises a two-paper written examination (Objective Type / Computer-Based Test) followed by a qualifying Computer Proficiency Test (CPT):

  • Paper-I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks)
  • Paper-II: Hindu Philosophy & Temple System (150 Questions, 150 Minutes, 150 Marks) – covers Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, Hindu festivals, temple architecture, and the AP Endowments Act, 1987.
  • Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33 mark) deducted for each incorrect response.
  • Computer Proficiency Test (CPT): Qualifying test conducted for candidates shortlisted after the written exam.

  • Study / Residence Certificates (Classes 4 to 10): To determine Local Candidature / District reservation in Andhra Pradesh.

  • Discharge Certificate / Service Certificate: For Ex-Servicemen or In-service government employees claiming age concessions.

How to Fill AP Endowment Notification 2026 Application Form
