Electoral Bonds Judgement - Summary
The Supreme Court’s hearing on the electoral bonds case, held on Monday, took a dramatic turn after the Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud rebuked the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Advocate Adish Aggarwala for his petition seeking suo motu review in the Electoral Bonds case judgement.
The hearing was held as the Supreme Court sought a reply from the State Bank of India regarding why it had not fully disclosed the electoral bond numbers. Apart from CJI Chandrachud, the five-judge bench constituted Justices BR Gavai, JB Pardiwala, Sanjiv Khanna, and Manoj Mishra.
