Telangana Lockdown Guidelines - Summary
Telangana’s government has announced an extension of the lockdown, effective from May 31 for an additional 10 days. The lockdown guidelines now include a daily relaxation period that has been extended from 6 am to 1 pm, allowing some activities during this time.
Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao has also decided that individuals permitted to go out can have an extra hour to return home, making the total time until 2 pm. 🌼
Telangana Lockdown Guidelines
During this lockdown period, the following important regulations and measures are in place:
- Passenger vehicles will be controlled at the state borders, and only those with E-passes will be allowed. However, the movement of goods will go on without any restrictions.
- All public transport services such as TSRTC buses, SETWIN, Hyderabad Metro, taxis, and auto-rickshaws can operate only from 6.00 AM to 2.00 PM.
- All Inter-State bus services, including those operated by private companies, are suspended.
- Anyone required to stay in home isolation must strictly follow this rule; otherwise, they will face penalties and may be moved to a Government isolation center.
- Private shops, businesses, and offices can operate during these hours with staff as needed, complying with Covid safety norms.
- All government and private employers must fully pay the wages/salaries of their workers/employees, including those on contract or outsourcing. Any breaches of this will result in strict penalties under relevant laws.
- Marriage ceremonies are allowed but with a maximum of 40 attendees.
- In funerals or last rites, only 20 individuals are allowed to attend.
- All religious venues and places of worship will remain closed to the public.
- All types of gatherings, including social, political, religious, sports, entertainment, academic, and cultural events, are banned.
- All Anganwadi centers will be closed. However, children and pregnant/lactating women will receive take-home rations during this time.
- All pregnant women expected to give birth during this period will be listed, monitored, and supported by healthcare staff to ensure institutional deliveries.
- Temporary police check posts will be established at various locations to enforce these rules strictly.
