Vishnu Sahasranamam Malayalam - Summary
Vishnu Sahasranamam is an important ancient scripture written in Sanskrit and is a popular stotra recited by Hindus. The term Sahasranamam means “1000 names” in Sanskrit, and Vishnu Sahasranamam comprises 1000 names of Lord Vishnu, who is a principal deity in Hinduism. Many devotees of Lord Vishnu, particularly Vaishnavites, recite Vishnu Sahasranamam daily as a form of devotion.
Vishnu Sahasranamam is a remarkable work from Sage Vyasa, a renowned Sanskrit scholar who authored timeless texts such as the Mahabharata, Bhagavad Gita, and various Puranas and Stotras. Numerous scholars have written commentaries on the Vishnu Sahasranamam, with the most famous being by Adi Shankaracharya.

ഓം ശുക്ലാംബരധരം വിഷ്ണും ശശിവര്ണം ചതുര്ഭുജമ് |
പ്രസന്നവദനം ധ്യായേത് സര്വവിഘ്നോപശാംതയേ || 1 ||
യസ്യദ്വിരദവക്ത്രാദ്യാഃ പാരിഷദ്യാഃ പരഃ മുജീ |
വിഘ്നം നിഖ്നംതി സതതം വിശ്വക്സേനംitamാശ്രയേ || 2 ||
വ്യാസം വസിഷ്ഠ നപ്താരം ശക്തേഃ പൗത്രമകല്‍മഷമ് |
പരാശരാത്മജം വംദേ ശുകതാതം തപോനിധിമ് || 3 ||
വ്യാസ്aya വിഷ്ണു രൂപായ വ്യാസരൂപായ വിഷ്ണവേ |
നമോ വൈ ബ്രഹ്മനിധയേ വാസിഷ്ഠായ നമോ നമഃ || 4 ||
അവികാരണ ശുദ്ധായ നിത്യായ പരമാത്മനേ |
സദൈക രൂപ രൂപായ വിഷ്ണവേ സര്വജിഷ്ണവേ || 5 ||
യസ്യ സ്മരണമാത്രേണ ജന്മസംസാരബംധനാത് |
വിമുച്യതേ നമസ്തസ്മൈ വിഷ്ണവേ പ്രഭവിഷ്ണവേ || 6 ||
ഓം നമോ വിഷ്ണവേസ ൻഭ്ത്രവിഷ്ണവേ |
ശ്രീ വൈശംപായന ഉവാച
ശ്രുത്വാ ധര്മാ നിശേഷേണ പാവനാനി ച സര്വശഃ |
യുധിഷ്ഠിരഃ ശാംതനവം പുനരേവാഭ്യ ഭാഷത || 7 ||
യുധിഷ്ഠിര ഉവാച
കിമേകം ദൈവതം ലോകേ കിം വാ‌ഉപ്യേകം പരായണം
സ്തുവംതഃ കം കമർചന്തഃ പ്രാപ്നുയുര്മാനവാ ശുഭമ് || 8 ||
കോ ധര്മഃ സര്വധര്മാണാം ഭവതഃ പരമോ മതഃ |
കിം ജപന്മുച്യതേ ജന്തുര്ജന്മസംസാര ബംധനാത് || 9 ||
ശ്രീ ഭീഷ്മ ഉവാച
ജഗത്പ്രഭും ദേവദേവ മനംതം പുരുഷോത്തമമ് |
