Eligibility Criteria for Widow’s Daughter’s Marriage Form Delhi
To qualify for the Widow’s Daughter’s Marriage Form Delhi, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. She must have been residing in Delhi for more than 5 years preceding the date of application.
2. The family’s annual income should not exceed Rs. 60,000/- (Rs. sixty thousand).
3. The applicant must have a ‘singly-operated’ account in any bank to receive payments through the electronic clearing system.
4. She should not be receiving any pension from the Central Government, State Government, MCD, NDMC, or any other source for this purpose.
In addition to the criteria above, the following two points are also essential under the Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme:
(a) The girl for whom the financial assistance is sought must be of legal marriage age, which means she should be above 18 years old on the date of marriage.
(b) For a widow applicant, financial assistance can only be granted for the marriage of up to two daughters.
Quantum of Assistance and Mode of Payment for Widow’s Daughter Marriage Scheme
The Quantum of Assistance provided under this scheme is Rs. 30,000/- only. This amount will be issued in the form of an account payee cheque in the name of the applicant or transferred through ECS.
