These straightforward preventive measures are crucial for reducing the risk of COVID-19 in yoga institutes and gyms. Everyone—members, visitors, and staff—must strictly follow these guidelines:

  • Maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from others whenever possible.
  • Wearing face covers or masks is mandatory at all times on the premises. During yoga or gym workouts, using a visor is preferable. N-95 masks should be used with caution since they might make breathing difficult during exercise.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap for at least 40-60 seconds, even if they don’t appear dirty. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers for at least 20 seconds where possible.
  • Always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue, handkerchief, or your elbow when coughing or sneezing, and dispose of used tissues properly.
  • Everyone should monitor their health and report any illness as soon as possible to the state and district helpline.
  • Spitting in the facility is strictly prohibited.
  • It is advised to install and use the Aarogya Setu App for health monitoring.
