West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra placed a Rs 2.56 lakh crore budget for 2020-21, 7.4% higher than the previous year, even as he criticized the central government for not releasing funds and grants to the tune of Rs 50,486 crore, putting the state’s financials in a spot.
