MGNREGS Guidelines for Houses Construction
These guidelines aim to ensure the effective utilization of funds and proper implementation of construction activities. The mandate of the MGNREGA is to provide at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year to every rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.
(i) The layout, designs, and specifications of the house should be as per the guidelines of the respective scheme.
(ii) The house shall be a pucca and durable structure, in construction of which, MGNREGS encourages the use of local designs, use of locally available material, eco- friendly and labour intensive technologies.
