Indian Railway Fare Table
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been constituted under the RPF Act, 1957 (as amended in the year 1985 and 2003) for better protection and security of railway property, passenger areas, passengers and matters connected therewith. RPF functions under the Ministry of Railways.

Efforts Made for Security of passengers
a) Operation ‘Yatri Suraksha’ RPF arrested 5803 criminals and handed them to concerned GRPs for further legal action during the year 2021 & 2022 (upto July). RPF assisted 177081 passengers in distress related to security.
b) Operation “Rail Suraksha”: RPF arrested 12114 accused under the provisions of the RP (UP) Act with recovery of stolen railway property worth Rs. 8.38 crores (approx.) during the year 2021 & 2022 (upto July).
c) Improving co-ordination among various security agencies over Railways: With a view to have a robust coordination med for deliberating issues concerning railways, State Level Security Committees for Railways (SLSCR) have been constituted in each State under the chairmanship of DGPs of respective States with representatives of RPF, GRP Intelligence. Further close liaison is made by RPF with the State Police/GRP authorities at all levels for passenger of Crime, registration of cases, their investigation and maintain of law & order in Railway premises as well as on running trains.
