ICAI New Scheme 2023
Indian Institute of Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) has released an official notice for the new scheme and syllabus for CA Foundation, Intermediate, and Final Courses form the official website icai.org or it can be directly downloaded from the link given at the bottom of this page and the ICAI New Scheme will be implemented on July 1, 2023.
As per the official statement issued by ICAI, the new syllabus has been created in alignment with the National Education Policy, NEP 2020 and international education standards. As per ICAI, registrations under the new course will begin on August 2, 2023 for the CA Foundation Course. Whereas for Final and Intermediate Courses, the registration will begin on July 1, 2023.

ICAI New Scheme of Education and Training
CA Intermediate Admission 2023
As per the new scheme, candidates who have passed the CA Foundation course will have to register with BOS after passing the Class 10 examination. The candidate will be eligible to appear in the June/December exam after completion of 4 month study period. Once the candidate clears both Class 12 and Foundation exams, he/she will be eligible to apply for intermediate.
Under direct entry, the following candidates are eligible to register for the intermediate course
- Those who have completed graduate or postgraduate in commerce with 55% marks.
- Those candidates who have a graduate or postgraduate qualification in other courses should have secured 60% aggregate marks.
- Those who have passed the intermediate level examination of ICAI or ICSI.
- Those in the last year of undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
As per the new regulations, students will now have a foundation route and a direct route into the intermediate course. The foundation route would require students to pass their Class 12 Board as well as the foundation exam.
The direct route would be open for commerce graduates and postgraduates. Those who have passed the intermediate exam for ICSI and ICMAI would also be able to apply for the intermediate course.
Apart from this, UG and PG commerce students in their last year of education would also be able to register for the intermediate courses directly.
