The 2023 G20 New Delhi summit is the eighteenth meeting of G20, a summit being held between 9–10 September 2023. It is taking place in Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. It is the first G20 summit held in India as well as in South Asia.
The G20 summit founded in 1999 is the premier forum for international cooperation on the most important aspects of the international economic and financial agenda. It brings together the world’s major advanced and emerging economies. The last summit was the 14th G20 summit which was held in Osaka, Japan on June 28th and 29th, 2019 headed by Shinzo Abe. It was the first time for Japan to take on the G20 Presidency. At the 14th G20 summit, the Indian delegation is headed by PM Narendra Modi.
