Central Civil Services (Leave Rules)
Employees in the federal government work a 5-day week. This means that they have 104 vacation days per year due to weekends. In addition, they have three national holidays, two restricted holidays, and fourteen gazetted holidays to choose from.
Civilian government personnel is also entitled to 8 days of casual leave, 20 days of half-pay leave (which can be converted to medical leave), and 30 days of earned leave.
Child Care Leaves Rules for Central Government Employees
This leave is given to a female employee who is caring for a minor child under the age of eighteen. The maximum length of leave is two years or 730 days.
Child Care Leave has been the subject of various recommendations. This comprises the items listed below.
- Changing CCL to “family care” leave
- Increasing the length of leave for a single male parent.
- Including moms of differently-abled children above the age of 18 in the program.
- The facility for lone mothers should be liberalized.
- CCL should be discontinued since it interrupts office operations and promotes gender inequality.
Commuted Leave Rules
The total number of commuted leaves must be less than half of the total number of half-pay leaves due. To take advantage of commuted leave, you must also provide a medical certificate. There has been a push to eliminate the need for a medical certificate. The Commission, on the other hand, did not approve the demand.
