Assam BJP Candidate List 2021 in Hindi
Bharatiye Janata Party (BJP) has released the first list of 70 candidates for the 126 seat Assam assembly which goes to poll on March 27. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and senior minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will contest from Majuli and Jalukbari respectively, the constituencies they currently represent.
BJP’s alliance partners in Assam, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will be contesting on 26 seats while United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) will contest on eight seats.
The three-phase Assam assembly polls will be held on March 27, April 1 and April 6. In the first phase, 47 constituencies will go to polls, in the second phase 39 constituencies and in the third phase, polling will be held in 40 constituencies.
