Toyota Hyryder is one of the most anticipated compact SUV from Toyota India which is all set to be unveiled on 1st July 2022.

Toyota Hyryder Competition

Toyota Hyryder is a compact SUV measuring somewhere around 4.3 meters in length. Toyota Hyryder SUV will be put against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and the MG Astor and the upcoming compact SUV of Suzuki which will essentially be the re-badged version of Hyryder with some additional design/feature changes.

Toyota Hyryder Specifications

Exact dimensions of Toyota Hyryder are not known yet but it is expected to be little bigger in than VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq, while being similar in size with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. As the name suggests, the Toyota Hyryder may have a high ground clearance for better off-roading and tackling the large potholes on Indian Roads.

Toyota Hyryder Engine & Transmission Options

Only single petrol engine will be offered with Hyryder which will be a 1.5L naturally aspirated Maruti Suzuki sourced engine. However, the engine will have different power output for different versions of the SUV as following.

1.5L with Mild Hybrid: 103PS with approximate 137nm of torque mated to 6MT / 6AT
1.5L with Strong Hybrid: 116PS with better torque figures mated to an eCVT gearbox

One of the most unique thing about the upcoming Hyryder is that it will also offer segment first AWD (All Wheel Drive) option with the mild hybrid setup.

Toyota Hyryder Mileage

As always, Suzuki’s engines are known for their better fuel efficiency, the Hyryder is also expected to return good mileage. However, the exact ARAI mileage of Toyota Hyryder will be known after the launch of the car, but the mileage figures could be
