RJD / Congress (Mahagathbandhan) Bihar Election Manifesto 2020 - Summary
The grand alliance partners in Bihar – the Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Left parties – on Saturday released their manifesto for the state assembly elections slated for late October and November this year with a focus on the farm laws and jobs.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that if they win the polls, under the leadership of the RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, the alliance will pass a bill in the first Vidhan Sabha session itself to scrap the three anti-farm laws cleared by the Centre last month.
Taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party, Surjewala said that the BJP was contesting the polls in three alliances, one is with Janata Dal (United) which the people can see, another one is with the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) which people understand, and the third one is with “Owaisi Saheb.”
The grand alliance’s (GA) chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav said that the central team so far has not visited the state to see how many people were affected by the flood. “It seems that everyone is busy in the race to get the chair. People talk big that their work is of service, not of caring about fruits for themselves but there are 60 scams in Bihar for “mewa,” he added.
