The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that domestic flights will resume operations starting from May 25, Monday. The flight schedule is valid until June 30, with GoAir flights continuing until August 24.

According to the flight schedule, low-cost airline GoAir will operate 178 flights across 19 destinations until August 24. In addition, IndiGo will run an impressive 970 flights, Vistara will operate 448 flights, SpiceJet will manage 434 flights, and Air Asia will fly 240 flights. The national carrier, Air India, will provide 340 flights covering 37 destinations.
Government Guidelines and Safety Measures
The government plans to resume domestic flight services while considering a price band for different routes to ensure fair pricing for consumers and airlines alike, as shared by an anonymous civil aviation ministry official.
Inside the aircraft, the earlier suggestion to keep middle seats vacant might not be implemented. However, the official mentioned that steps will be taken to maintain social distancing at airports. Additionally, travelers must adhere to the guidelines set by the destination state’s authorities after their flight.
