CAMS KYC Form
CAMS KYC is a paperless Aadhaar-based process for fulfilling KYC requirements to start investing in Mutual Funds. SEBI has recently allowed Aadhaar-based KYC to be used for MF investments, for the convenience of investors. KYC stands for “Know Your Customer” Generally identity proof with a photograph and address proof are the two basic mandatory KYC documents that are required.
The regular KYC process requires the submission of a KYC form with the investor’s signature and additional documents for ID and address proof. In-person verification (IPV) and sighting of the original documents need to be completed by a competent person. CAMS eKYC completely eliminates paperwork and IPV to complete the KYC process. CAMS as a KYC User Agency (KUA) is approved by UIDAI to accept investors’UIDA numbers and complete KYC verification with One Time Password (OTP).
CAMS KYC Form Documents Required
- Copy of PAN Card of applicant.
- KYC Acknowledgment OR KYC form of applicant.
- Cancelled cheque with applicant’s name pre-printed OR Applicant’s Bank Statement/Passbook.
- Annexure-I – Bankers Attestation of Signature of the applicant Nomination Form.
