Udyam and MSME Registration Process
- The registration form can be found on the Udyam Registration portal.
- There is no fee for filing Udyam Registration.
- An Aadhaar number is required for Udyam Registration.
- The Aadhaar number should belong to the proprietor for a proprietorship firm, the managing partner for a partnership firm, and the Karta for a Hindu Undivided Family (HUF).
- In cases of Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships, Cooperative Societies, or Trusts, the organization’s authorized signatory must provide its GSTIN and PAN along with the Aadhaar number.
- If an enterprise is already registered as Udyam with PAN, any missing information from prior years without PAN can be submitted based on self-declaration.
- No enterprise can file more than one Udyam Registration. However, multiple activities, including manufacturing or service, can be included in a single Udyam Registration.
- Anyone who intentionally misrepresents or hides facts during the Udyam Registration or update process will face penalties under section 27 of the Act.
Government Facilitation for the Registration Process
- An entity for this process is referred to as “Udyam,” and the registration procedure is called ‘Udyam Registration.’
- After successful registration, you will receive a permanent registration number.
- Your registration will conclude with the issuance of a certificate online.
- This certificate will include a dynamic QR Code, allowing access to your enterprise details on our Portal.
- There is no need to renew your Registration.

- The Registration Process is entirely free of charge. No costs or fees should be paid to anyone.
MSME Registration: Free, Paperless, and Self-Declared
- The MSME registration process is completely online, paperless, and relies on self-declaration.
- No documents or proofs are required for MSME registration.
- An Aadhaar Number is sufficient for this registration.
- PAN & GST linked details will automatically be retrieved from Government databases regarding investment and turnover.
- Our online system is fully integrated with Income Tax and GSTIN systems.
- As of 01.04.2021, having a PAN & GST number is necessary.
- Entities with EM-II or UAM registrations or any other registration from the Ministry of MSME must re-register.
- No enterprise can submit more than one Udyam Registration, but several activities, including both manufacturing and service, may be covered under one registration.
Registering a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise
- Anyone wishing to establish a micro, small, or medium enterprise can file for Udyam Registration online through the Udyam Registration portal, without needing to upload any documents.
- Once registered, your enterprise, known as “Udyam,” will be assigned a unique identification number: ‘Udyam Registration Number.’
- After completing the registration, you will receive an e-certificate called the “Udyam Registration Certificate.”
